Lavrov says Russia will continue to support Abkhazia in strengthening its “international positions”

Russia continues to support Abkhazia in strengthening positions on the international arena,- Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a meeting with the de facto foreign minister of occupied Abkhazia Daur Kove.

Sergey Lavrov noted that "Russia and Abkhazia have a sustainable basis for bilateral relations." He also noted the effectiveness of coordinating mechanisms in terms of foreign policy.

“We will continue to assist Abkhazia in terms of strengthening its international positions. We also give a particular importance to the tasks fulfilled in terms of regional security, including interaction within the Geneva discussions, "Sergey Lavrov said.
