Batumi town has today hosted the final of the Weightlifting European Championship, where Georgian weightlifter Lasha Talakhadze won 3 gold medals, while Irakli Turmanidze won 2 silver and one bronze medals.

Gor Minisyan took the third place in the snatch.

As for clean and jerk, Talakhadze used only two attempts. At first he lifted 245 kilograms and then 260, bettering his own world record.
