Two employees of “Georgian Railway” detained for commercial bribery

The Investigative Service of the Finance Ministry of Georgia has detained two employees of the “Georgian Railway” on commercial bribery charges.

As InterPressNews was told by the Investigative Service, the detainees who were obliged to monitor the works carried out by a subcontractor company, demanded and took GEL 2 240 as a bribe from the company director .

An investigation has been launched under paragraph IV of the Criminal Code of Georgia, involving a commercial bribery. The crime envisages from 4 to 6 years of imprisonment.
