According to the protesters, they are sending a peaceful message to neighbor Azerbaijan that Davit Gareji is part of Georgia.

The activists are chanting and hoping that the issue of border demarcation will be resolved in the nearest future. They have walked several kilometers on foot to reach the abovementioned section of the monastery complex.

It should be noted that the Azeri border guards are deployed and observing the situation on several sections of the path to the monastery complex.

Georgian border guards are also on the perimeter and control the movement of citizens. No incident has taken place at the demonstration so far.
