Largest number of asylum seekers were deported to Italy, Albania and Georgia from Germany

A total of 5,613 asylum seekers were deported from Germany in the first quarter of 2019, the Deuche Welle newspaper reported on Sunday citing the country’s Interior Ministry’s response to the request of Die Linke (The Left) party.

The largest number of asylum seekers were deported to Italy, Albania and Georgia. Reportedly, more than 400 people were to the Maghreb states,

A total of 6,235 asylum seekers were deported from Germany in the first quarter of 2018, while the whole number of deportations amounted to some 24,000 last year.
