So-called tourism minister says Abkhazia lost a million and a half rubles as a result of opposition protest

As a result of blockage of the central road by the opposition in Bzipi, the occupied Abkhazia lost a million and a half rubles, - so-called tourism minister Avtandil Ghartskia said.

According to him, 20 buses of tourists turned back because of the blocked road.

"Tourists who come to Abkhazia spend money here," said Ghartskia.

He expressed hopes that no more roads would be blocked in the “republic”, as it negatively affects tourism.

Representatives of the opposition, who launched protests on 20 May, blocked the central road early in the morning, though later it was opened.

Meanwhile, the "Prosecutor General's Office" started collecting materials about the opposition's protests in front of the de facto parliament building.
