Giorgi Mikautadze appointed for life term as judge of Administrative Cases Chamber of Tbilisi City Court.

Giorgi Mikautadze, Secretary of the High Council of Justice, has been appointed for a life term as judge of the Administrative Cases Chamber of Tbilisi City Court.

The High Council of Justice received the decision with 11 votes.

Giorgi Mikautadze has initially filed applications to the Administrative Cases Chamber of Tbilisi City and Appeals courts. However, today Mikautadze announced that he withdrew his candidacy from the Court of Appeals.

Giorgi Mikautadze was included in the list of 10 judges, who were nominated by the High Council of Justice for the Supreme Court of Georgia and triggered controversies and criticism in the public and civil sector.
