Mikheil Saakashvili to arrive in Ukraine today

Former President of Georgia and former governor of Odessa Mikheil Saakashvili is going to arrive in Ukraine today.

Saakashvili was granted back his citizenship citizenship by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky yesterday.

As Saakashvili told Rustavi 2 TV, he had been illegally deprived of the citizenship.

"He gave me back my Ukrainian citizenship that had been illegally taken away. In the second half of the day I will arrive in Kiev, where I have a lot of companions, where I had been studying and where I had been serving in the army; I have fought a lot and I have been in jail in Kiev. Now I will go back to Kiev and help the Ukrainian people and the new President of Ukraine, a very interesting person whom I have known for a long time”, Saakashvili said.
