The Ministry of Internal Affairs detained a juvenile, who hijacked a police car. According to the Ministry, the teenager, born in 2001, was arrested in the village of Ortasheni.

"Officers of the Gori Regional Division of the Shida Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained a juvenile serving a conditional sentence, who was previously convicted of theft. The juvenile was arrested on the charge of robbery.

The detainee faces imprisonment from 5 to 8 years if convicted.

The drunk juvenile hijacked a police car from Guramishvili Street. He failed to safely drive the car and ran into a vehicle on the Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze highway. The juvenile left the car and escaped, but was soon arrested by police”, reads the statement of the Ministry.
