Paata Imnadze : There are 5-10 new cases of measles every day

There are 5-10 new cases of measles every day, Paata Imnadze, Scientific Director at National Center for Disease Control and Public Health Georgia, said on Tuesday.

According to him, up to 140,000 citizens have been vaccinated, but the number should be twice as many as it is now.

"Measles has not left us. It has not stopped even in hot weather. There are at least -10 new cases every day. Those, who are not vaccinated, especially, the young people aged 20 to 40 years old. Unfortunately, we had the cases of transfer the measles from hotel staffs to tourists. So, I call such businesses to call on their employees to vacate, " Paata Imnadze said.
