Slovak tourist dies in Svaneti

One of the 4-member team of tourists died after falling from a height on Tetnuldi Mountain in Svaneti region of Georgia, the Emergency Situation Management Service of the Internal Affairs Ministry said in a statement on Monday.

“Police have conducted a search for a missing tourist and found him dead on the mountainside. The dead body of the deceased tourist has been transferred to Mestia. Other tourists refused the help of the rescuers and continued their way to Mestia. Rescue service is in constant contact with them, the health of tourists is not in danger.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has already launched an investigation,” the statement reads.
