The leaders of the “National Movement” bear political responsibility, since their irresponsible statements and behaviors have triggered very heavy results, Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze said while commenting on the legal liability of UNM member Nika Melia.

According to the PM, the heavy results of June 20-21 developments were triggered by direct calls and provocation.

“This issue as well as June 20-21 developments generally, have to dimensions: legal and political. As for the legal issue, the Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation in connection with this person. As for the political assessment…We saw direct calls and provocation to invade the parliament,” the PM said in his interview with the Georgian Public Broadcaster.
