New agreement signed with WizzAir on 12 new European destinations

"I am glad that intensive negotiations, which had been ongoing for several months, have been successfully completed and we have signed an agreement with WizzAir on 12 new European destinations”, - Natia Turvanava, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, said after signing the new agreement.

As a result of the agreement, the Hungarian low-cost airline will launch 12 new flights from Kutaisi Airport to Frankfurt, Hamburg, Baden-Baden, Poznan, Venice, Naples, Nice, Pisa, Stockholm, Nuremberg, Heraklion and Turku.

According to the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, seven flights will be launched by the end of the year, while the rest will start from 2020.

"This is a unique opportunity to receive additional European tourists”, the Minister said.

According to her, Georgia's tourist policy is aimed at turning the country into a more attractive tourist destination both for European tourists and tourists from traditional markets.
