Reportedly, one person has been arrested for Khangoshvili’s murder.

Zelimkhan Khangoshvili lived in the village of Duisi, Pankisi Gorge. In 2016 he was wounded after being assaulted in Tbilisi. He left Georgia after the incident.

According to some media reports, Zelimkhan Khangoshvili was involved in Lapankuri special operation that was carried out in 2012.
