State Security Service shows media the unmanned aerial vehicle that crashed on the territory of Kareli municipality yesterday

Prior to the meeting due to be held in Ergneti, the Deputy Chief of the Information and Analytical Department of the Georgian State Security Service showed the media the unmanned aerial vehicle that crashed on the territory of Kareli municipality yesterday.
“This is the drone that crashed yesterday in the Kareli municipality. The aforementioned drone ran into an amateur drone. You also know that some unfounded allegations were spread after the crash, according to which, the drone was shot down as a result of a fire opened by our police unit. This allegation, of course, is groundless and not true. We are showing this item to you to prove that there is no trace of a firearm. This is an unmanned quadrocopter. The incident took place in the Kareli municipality near the village of Abano. We will present this to the participants of today's meeting to put an end to the baseless allegations that this quadrocopter was shot down by our police unit,” said Irakli Antadze, Deputy Chief of the Information-Analytical Department of the State Security Service.
An Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism meeting is due to be held in Ergneti today. The meeting will be of a technical nature.
