“South Ossetian Speaker of Parliament”: Georgia is building another checkpoint on its territory, but directly near our border

Georgia is building another checkpoint on its territory, but directly near the border with South Ossetia, the so-called South Ossetian Speaker of Parliament Alan Tadtaev was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.

"We have determined precisely - both by maps and GPS - that the checkpoint being built by the Georgian side is on the territory of Georgia. The Georgian side has not violated the republic's border. Our border guards are deployed along our borders and defend the gorge," Tadtaev said.

Yesterday Amiran Diakonov, a member of the “South Ossetian Parliament”, told RIA that Tbilisi had already prepared concrete foundation for the police checkpoint near the village of Sinaguri. A group of lawmakers led by Tadtaev viewed the construction on the ground.
