Prosecutor General’s Office launches investigation into pardoning of convicts by President

The Prosecutor General’s Office has launched an investigation into the pardoning of convicts by President Salome Zourabichvili.

According to the agency, the investigation was launched into alleged abuse of power in the pardon process.

"The Prosecutor General's Office of Georgia has launched an investigation into the alleged abuse of power in the process of pardoning of convicts - Ramaz Devadze, Aslan Bezhanidze, Zurab Nadiradze and others," the agency says.
