The Prosecutor General's Office refrains from elaborating on whether Salome Zourabichvili and her parliamentary secretary Dimitri Gabunia will be questioned within the framework of the investigation launched by the Prosecutor's Office.

The Prosecutor General’s Office launched an investigation into the pardoning of convicts by President Salome Zourabichvili today.

According to the agency, the investigation was launched into alleged abuse of power in the pardon process.

"The Prosecutor General's Office of Georgia has launched an investigation into the alleged abuse of power in the process of pardoning of convicts - Ramaz Devadze, Aslan Bezhanidze, Zurab Nadiradze and others," the agency says.
