The Prosecutor General's Office will question historian Giorgi Otkhmezuri relating to the so-called pardon case at 17:00 today.
The Prosecutor General's Office is expected to ask questions about the pardoning of the person convicted of killing Giorgi Otkhmezuri’s son by the president and the communication between Giorgi Otkhmezuri and the president’s administration.
The Prosecutor General's Office has already questioned Tamaz Koiava, father of another killed person, whose murderer was also pardoned by the president.
President Salome Zourabichvili pardoned several people convicted of murders, including the murderers of a 22-year-old police officer, the son of Giorgi Otkhmezuri and Soso Koiava. Following the scandalous pardon, the Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation into the alleged abuse of power.
