US announces largest military exercises Defender 2020

The US has announced the largest military exercises "Defender 2020", Spiegel reported on today citing the US forces in Europe.

According to the edition, 37.000 soldiers will participate in the military exercise to transfer troops to Poland and the Baltic States next year.

Reportedly, Germany will become the logistics hub for the exercise conducted by the US armed forces. A total of 19 states will participate in the military exercises, which are taking place between the period from April and May. The troops will be guided through Germany with the support of the Bundeswehr.
