Customs officers of the Revenue Service of the Finance Ministry and the employees of the Internal Affairs Ministry have prevented the fact of the illegal import of marijuana narcotic drug.

Reportedly, during a search of the baggage of a citizen, they seized 23 kg of marijuana from a citizen at Tbilisi International Airport.

An investigation has been launched under paragraph VI, Article 273 and sub-paragraph “A”, paragraph IV, Article 262 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, involving the illegal import of especially large quantities of narcotic drugs to Georgia.
