Georgian police detain citizen of Turkey for drug crime

The officers of Adjara Police Department of the Internal Affairs Ministry of Georgia have detained a citizen of Turkey, M.I. (DoB 1973) for illegal purchase and keeping of narcotic drugs.

As InterPressNews was informed by the Internal Affairs Ministry, police seized 32 packages of narcotic drugs during the search of the detainee’s house.

“An investigation is in progress under paragraph VI, Article 260 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, involving illegal purchase and keeping of narcotic drugs in especially large amount.

The detainee faces from 8 to 20 years of imprisonment.
