Prosecutor General: If there is a need for questioning the President, we will act in accordance with law

If there is a need for questioning the President, we will act in accordance with law, - Prosecutor General Shalva Tadumadze told reporters when answering a question whether President Salome Zurabishvili would be summoned to the Prosecutor's Office.

“Investigation is ongoing. If necessary, the Prosecutor's Office will act in accordance with law,” said Shalva Tadumadze.

He added that “currently the investigation is questioning other persons”.

The Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation into the Pardon Act issued by President Salome Zurabishvili, after pardoning of several murders by her triggered public outcry.
