Former Metropolitan of Chkondidi says Patriarch’s decision to dismiss him was unfair

I think the Patriarch fired me from the position of Bishop unfairly, Petre Tsaava, former Metropolitan of Chkondidi, told reporters after he left the meeting of the Holy Synod today.

"Today, the Holy Synod made an unprecedented decision. The Patriarch, the chairman of the Holy Synod, dismissed me from the position of Bishop unfairly. The reason behind this decision is my accusations regarding the sin of homosexuality in the Georgian Church,” former Metropolitan of Chkondidi said.
