28 people detained at rallies in front of Tbilisi and Batumi cinemas

A total of 28 people were detained at the rallies in front of the Tbilisi and Batumi cinemas. One person as arrested for a criminal offence and 27 for administrative offenses, - reads the statement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“All screenings scheduled for November 8 in 6 cinemas of Tbilisi and Batumi were held according to the announced time. The Ministry of Internal Affairs launched an investigation into four incidents that occurred at the protests during the screening of the film.

Investigation continues into the infliction of damage to Ana Subeliani's health. Police has identified and arrested the perpetrator.

Investigation is also ongoing into the violence against Davit Berdzenishvili under Article 126 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.

Investigation into the assault on police officers was launched under Article 353 of the Criminal Code of Georgia. Two law enforcement officers were injured and hospitilized.

As for the damage to a vehicle of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the investigation is ongoing under Article 187 of the Criminal Code”, reads the statement.

Law enforcers continue carrying out investigative actions.
