Police deployed at Amirani Cinema

Police officers are mobilized outside Amirani Cinema in Tbilisi, where another protest rally is scheduled against “And Then We Danced,” a Georgian-Swedish film.

Kakha Bukhradze, Deputy Chief of Patrol Police Department, told reporters that in case the protesters violated law, the police would take appropriate measures.

The premiere of “And Then We Danced,” a Georgian-Swedish film, held in all six cinemas in Tbilisi and Batumi on the evening of November 8 amid protests from a group of people, including the supporters of businessman Levan Vasadze and members of the movement Georgian March, who claimed the film was “gay propaganda” and threatened to disrupt it.
