100 hospitals fined for various violations in Georgia

100 hospitals were fined after the State Regulation Agency for Medical Activities conducted the monitoring of more than 500 hospitals during the past 4 months throughout the country, Zaal Kapanadze, Director of the State Regulation Agency for Medical Activities, told InterPressNews.

Speaking about the monitoring results, Kapanadze noted that the hospitals, including both the ambulatory and stationary care facilities, were fined for various violations and the signs of criminal offense were revealed in 7 cases.

“117 protocols of violations have been made. There are various violations related to the management of internal quality systems, disinfection-sterilization, medical waste management, and similar violations,” Zaal Kapanadze said.
