Georgian chess player Nona Gaprindashvili, once again became a world champion – this time she won in the 65+ World Senior Championship chess tournament. She gained 8.5 points out of possible 11.

She defeated a player from Mongolia yesterday and won the world championship for the seventh time (1995, 2009, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019).
