The statement of the main investor of Frego company

I would like to comment on the statements made by Finance Minister, specifically on the statement made in Parliament House during “Minister Hour” on 28 of November 2019 on so called VAT case.

As one of the defendants of this case, I shall inform that the statement made by the Minister from the tribune of the highest state legislative body contained incorrect and inaccurate information. Moreover, the statement was made in persuasive form, whereas the trial on this case even has not been started yet, and nobody is proven guilty so far. Therefore, once again the presumption of innocence has been violated.

Another important point to comment on is the Minister’s definitions of who can be called businessman and who cannot. The Minister tried to diminish the profile and reputation of businessmen defendants. He stated, ‘It is a mistaken opinion that there are the businessmen among detainees of this case. Most of them are formal public servants or quasi-businessmen, who have never been the real businessmen ’

Well, I shall assure the Minister that by any meaning and evaluation, I am businessman for many years and have never served in state organizations. And I am ready to prove my innocence and defend my reputation in a fair trial.
