Abkhazia’s de-facto regime verifying reports about involvement of foreign citizens in ongoing protests

The so-called intelligence services of occupied Abkhazia are verifying reports about the involvement of foreign citizens, including Ukrainians, in the Sokhumi protest rally, secretary of so-called security council of Abkhazia Muhhamed Kilba told TAS news agency.

"We have such information. It is being verified," he said, adding that Ukrainian nationals are among such foreigners. "Corresponding services are verifying these reports."

He said that Georgian nationals could also be involved in the protests.

Protests started in Abkhazia on January 9, when demonstrators broke into the so-called presidential administration building demanding resignation of de-facto president Raul Khadjimba.
