Aslan Bzhania to run for so-called presidential elections in occupied Abkhazia

Opposition leader Aslan Bzhania will be running for the so-called presidential elections in occupied of Abkhazia, Abkhaz media reports.

Aslan Bzhania had been undergoing lengthy medical treatment in Russia due to sharp deterioration of health, which his supporters link to poisoning. The opposition leader returned to Sokhumi a few days ago, on January 9.

Recently, the de facto Abkhazian vice-president announced that Raul Khajimba would no longer run in the next presidential elections.

The so-called presidential elections will be held in occupied on March 22.
