Prosecutor’s Office allows Avtandil Tsereteli to leave country for obtaining medical treatment abroad

The Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia has allowed businessman Avtandil Tsereteli to leave Georgia for obtaining medical treatment abroad, it was announced on Tuesday at the trial into the case of Mamuka Khazaradze, Badri Japaridze and Avtandil Tsereteli.

The prosecutor told the judge that Avtandil Tsereteli was going to leave the country from January 19 through January 30 and asked to postpone the court trials.

The judge said the issue would be discussed on Wednesday.

Georgian businessman Avtandil Tsereteli, the father of the founder of TV Pirveli broadcaster, Vakhtang Tsereteli, was charged as an accomplice in the money laundering case of co-founders of JSC TBC Bank Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze.
