Aslan Bzhania : There should be dialogue between Sokhumi and Tbilisi

There should be dialogue between Sokhumi and Tbilisi; It does not matter in what format and form is this dialogue held, Aslan Bzhania, leader of the Abkhazian opposition and so-called “presidential candidate”, said in an exclusive interview with InterPressNews.

According to him, "the key thing is to have a positive outcome from the dialogue, and no matter how many parties are involved in it."

“In my opinion, it doesn't matter how many parties participate in this dialogue. I have my own opinion on this topic and am ready to share it with any audience - if my opinion is somehow valuable.

Therefore I say - no matter how many parties are involved in this dialogue. The most important thing is involvement of those people who want to bring the process into a human and peaceful framework.

If we are talking about the long-term prospect, it should be possible to establish good neighborly, equitable and good relations between the two states. I see such a perspective and, moreover, I know how it can be realized. We need to listen to each other well. That's how I can imagine and see our dialogue.

As for the short- term prospect, I think it is first and foremost necessary to build trust between the parties. Steps should be taken in this direction and I am sure this will help us to get closer to our positions. Such steps should be taken in the economic field, "Bzhania said in an exclusive interview with InterPressNews.
