Five more candidates nominated for position of Prosecutor General

Five more candidates nominated to fill the vacant position of the Prosecutor General of Georgia, the General Prosecutor’s Office told InterPressNews.

The following candidates have been submitted to the Prosecutorial Council: lawyer Davit Zirakashvili, who was recommended by the Georgian Bar Association.

Lawyer Viktor Akhalbedashvili, who was nominated by the Human Rights Center.

Lawyer Koba Kobakhidze who was nominated by the Georgian Bar Association.

Dariko Tordia, the members of the Georgian Bar Association, who was nominated by the Georgian Bar Association.

Lawyer Valeri Kvantaliani, nominated by the the Georgian Bar Association.

Currently, there are 14 candidates in total nominated for the Prosecutor General position. Their names are public and the data will be uploaded on the website of the Prosecutorial Council: http://pc.gov.ge.

Consultations and nominations will continue until January 17, 2020.
