Police seize 8,1 kg marijuana from foreign citizen at Tbilisi Airport

The customs officers of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia together with the employees of the Internal Affairs Ministry seized 8,1 kg marijuana from the baggage of the citizen of South Africa, the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance told InterPressNews.

According to them, the citizen was arrested at Tbilisi Internaitonal Airport for illegal purchase-keeping and export of narcotic drugs in especially large amount.

An investigation is in progress under paragraph 6, Article 273 (I) and sub-paragraph a, paragraph IV, Article 262 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
