Tbilisi City Council chair calls on both sides to avoid physical confrontation

I urge both sides to avid personal abuse and physical confrontation, Giorgi Tkemaladze, the Chairman of the City Council, said while commenting on the quarrel between UNM member Levan Khabeishvili and the members of the Georgian Dream.

There was a physical confrontation between the members of the Tbilisi City Council from the Georgian Dream ruling party and Levan Khabeishvili of the opposition National Movement party.

The confrontation took place at the session of the Joint Commission and the Tbilisi City Assembly members : Avtandil Tsintsadze, Irakli Zarkua, Giorgi Chakvetadze and Alexander Khujadze were involved in it.

Khabeishvili suffers eye injuries.
