Levan Khabeishvili, Tbilisi City Council Member from the National Movement, will be examined for his injuries sustained during the confrontation in the City Council.

As Levan Khabeishvili told reporters at the Old Tbilisi Police Station after questioning, the examination was appointed by the investigation.

Khabeishvili said he did no hope for an objectively investigation of the incident under the "criminal authorities".

“The legal investigation has started. Of course, I testified, but I could not say anything new except for what the public saw. It's all on the surface, and in fact, there is nothing to investigate. They arrested a man for verbally abusing Anri Okhanashvili, but those who attacked a City Council Member are at large. Now, the authorities must decide whether to punish the people who had been instructed to act so by them. In my opinion, nobody will punish anyone, since it was a political order.

It's also worth noting that they were trying to provoke me all day long yesterday, including by physical and verbal abuse. That is, they wanted me to start the physical confrontation, which I could not do. My job is not to be involved in physical confrontation, my job is to expose them to corruption and to protect people.

As for the examination, it was appointed by the investigation and I, as a law-abiding persons, will undergo it”, Khabeishvili said.
