A commission was set up with the involvment of representatives of all agencies in the Ministry of Health to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

As InterPressNews was informed by the Ministry of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, passengers coming from China will be checked in accordance with the recommendation of the World Health Organization.

“Today's meeting was dedicated to the discussion of new recommendations issued by the World Health Organization yesterday,” said Tamar Gabunia, First Deputy Minister of Health.

“Passengers coming from China will be checked in accordance with the WHO recommendation. This includes symptom assessment, distribution of booklets indicating symptoms, thermal screening. In case of detection of suspicious sympotms, the passenger will be referrrd directly to a medical facility”, the Deputy Minister said.

According to her, the epidemiological service is mobilized at the airport and doctors work 24 hours a day.
