Acceding to Amiran Gamkrelidze, head of the National Center for Disease Control, no cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the country so far.
Gamkrelidze told reporters that coronavirus was not confirmed in any of four cases of flu reported yesterday.
“There is no reason to panic in the country, however, we must be fully ready. It is important to provide correct information to the population that the country is doing everything it can to prevent the infection from being imported and to take timely measures if it is imported,” Gamkrelidze said.
Four patients were admitted to the Infectious Disease Clinic for the flu virus yesterday. They have been under particular supervision and examination, as all four of them have recently been to China.
