Amiran Gamkrelidze: The infected person is a Georgian citizen, who arrived in Kutaisi from Italy

According to Amiran Gamkrelidze, Director of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, another person identified with new coronavirus is a Georgian citizen, who arrived in Kutaisi International Airport from Italy.

According to Gamkrelidze, the person showed symptoms of the virus the next day after arriving in Georgia.

“The person did not show symptoms upon arrival. The symptoms began to emerge the next day. The person flew to Kutaisi from Italy. His/her condition is satisfactory”, Gamkrelidze said.

The National Center for Disease Control does not specify the sex and age of the infected person.
