Tengiz Tsertsvadze: The second patient diagnosed with coronavirus is a 31-year-old woman

According to Tengiz Tsertsvadze, Director of the Infectious Disease Hospital, the second patient diagnosed with coronavirus is a 31-year-old woman and her health condition is satisfactory at this stage.

"At this moment, there are 34 patients in the infectious center. As it was confirmed today, one of them is infected with new coronavirus.

The first patient was a 50-year-old man, who was traveling to Iran. He was offered to go to our clinic when crossing the land border. As for the new patient, she is a young woman, 31, who was in Italy with a group of young Georgians. Her health condition is satisfactory at this stage.

I would like to highlight two issues. First, people believe that coronavirus is definitely a deadly virus, in fact it is severe in only 1/5 of the cases, while in 80 percent of cases, it is almost asymptomatic. An excellent example of this is that patients with confirmed coronavirus were asymptomatic in both cases,” Tsertsvadze explained.
