Disinfection works will be carried out in the buildings of government agencies, Interagency Coordination Council, set up to address the coronavirus-related issues, said in a statement.

According to the statement, Georgian Railway will also disinfect the trains and stations across the country.

“The Interagency Council heard reports on fulfilment of recommendations to prevent the spread of a new coronavirus, including carrying out disinfection works at various sites across the country and the abolishment of the events in public places. The recommendations also include the temporary postponement of all indoor cultural and sports events.

According to the instruction of the Interagency Coordination Council, disinfection activities will be carried out by state agencies, which provide public services to the population, as well as by the Georgian Railway in trains and stations, to prevent the spread of the virus, ”the statement said.
