Two persons detained in Marneuli for resisting and disobeying police officers' order

The officers of Marneuli police division of Kvemo Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative –search and investigative activities detained two persons- B.B. (DoB 1996) and G.Kh. (DoB 1999) on the charges of resisting police officers’ order and interfering in ensuring public order with the aim to terminate or modify the activities of protector of public order, Internal Affairs Ministry said in a statement.

An investigation has established that on March 23 the mentioned detainees under the alcohol influence, verbally and physically assaulted police officers and representatives of Emergency Situations Management Service with the purpose to interfere in their official duties.

The investigation is in progress on the fact of of resisting police officers’ order and interfering in ensuring public order with the aim to terminate or modify the activities of protector of public order, article 353, II part envisaged by the Criminal Code.

The committed crime envisages from 4 to 7 years of imprisonment.
