Interior Minister says crime rate declined in country caused by mobilization of doubled number of police officers

Vakhtang Gomelauri, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, the crime rate has decreased in the country. As Gomelauri told reporters on Tuesday, the decline in crime rate is triggered by mobilization of doubled number of police officers.

“The Interior Ministry moved to a State of Emergency three weeks ago and the number of police officers has doubled. Currently, the crime rate is declining. I think doubling the number of police officers triggered the decrease in crime rate, ”Minister Gomelauri said.
