Another Georgian clergyman infected with coronavirus in New York

Another clergyman has been infected with coronavirus. The bishop of the eparchy of North America, Saba Intskirveli, said the above in a video message posted on social network.

According to him, the infected person is Spiridon Narsia, who serves in New York.

“I would like to tell you the sad news that the second clergyman has been infected in our eparchy in New York. He is Father Spiridon Narsia. You know New York is the epicenter of the virus. We do not know where he was infected, with whom he was in contact, although he did not serve last weekend and was undergoing treatment at home. I would like to ask you to pray for him and to mention both Father Ioseb and Father Spiridon in your prayers,” bishop Saba Inskirveli said.

The Bishop called on the parish to pray at home and he himself would pray in the church for them.

"This ordeal will be over, but it once again gives us an example of how we should treat one another and what responsibility we have for each other. We will endure any ordeal if we are responsible people”, he said.
