Archpriest Andria Jaghmaidze : We have called on many people to "stay at home"

We have called on many categories of people to "stay at home", including those who are cautious and think they may get sick in the church. We will come and give you communion at your own home, Archpriest Andria Jaghmaidze, the head of the Patriarchate's public relations office, said adding that the Patriarchate will try not to contradict the recommendations issued by the state.

"There are recommendations made by the Patriarchate and the measures taken by the state. They are not contradictory. We have called on the citizens to follow the recommendations issues by the Patriarchate and the government. We called on categories of people to "stay at home", including those who are cautious and think they may get sick in the church. Here it is important that we do not tell these people : you violate your belief when you are cautious, but we tell them : we will come and give you communion at your own home,” Archpriest Andria Jaghmaidze said.
