Paata Imnadze: Do not go to church, pray at home

Do not go to church to pray, pray at home. The doors of the church will not be closed, there will be priests, who will pray for us, but we should pray at home for each other and for our country, - said Paata Imnadze, Deputy Director of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health.

Imnadze once again spoke about the need to protect the social distance and stay at home at the briefing held after the meeting of the Intergovernmental Coordination Council.

"I always try to ensure that any of our bans, recommendations are adequate. At the same time, I want to make it clear to everyone that we are now seeing the results of implementation or non-implementation of the recommendations we made two weeks ago. And we will see the results of implementation or non-implementation of the recommendations we make today in two weeks. That is, our recommendations must always be ahead of time. Therefore, I would like to address Christians, parishioners to protect our Church and our priests by not going to the church and praying at home. We must protect them not only from this but other viruses as well," Imnadze said.
