PM Gakharia : The number of coronavirus cases are predicted to peak in the country by late April - early May

Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia says the number of coronavirus cases are predicted to peak in the country by late April - early May.

The Prime Minister also noted that today Georgia, as well as the world, is facing such a challenge that all kinds of predictions are conditional.

"In the country, as you know, we are already at the stage of domestic transmission and epidemiologists find it difficult to predict when the coronavirus cases will peak in the country, but we expect it by late April - early May. However, everyone should understand that this is such a challenge not only for Georgia, but also for the world, that all kinds of predictions are conditional here. The biggest challenge is that we : governments, citizens, state institutions, the civil sector are acting in everyday life so that we unfortunately do not yet have the means to make accurate predictions. This is the biggest challenge for the citizens, as well as for the government and the economy, ”Giorgi Gakharia said.
