Tbilisi will host the European basketball championship in 2022 instead of 2021. The reason for the above is the developments related to coronavirus around the world.

The FIBA Executive Committee made the above decision at a video conference yesterday. Updated dates for the European basketball championship (FIBA EuroBasket 2021) are September 1-18, 2022.

Georgia will be one of the host countries of EuroBasket together with the Czech Republic, Germany and Italy.
