As the head of state, I have the highest responsibility and obligation to protect the law of the state and therefore, I ask you to obey the law, President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili said in a televised address to the nation on Friday evening.
The President said the law, like the virus that is spread today, does not recognize exceptions and privileges.
According to Salome Zurabishvili, today the protection of the state is based on the enforcement of the law and staying at home.
"I, together with the Prime Minister, signed the declaration of the state of emergency. I support all taken measures. The law, like the disease spread today, knows no exception and privilege,” President Zurabishvili said.
According to her, of the population of Georgia want save their state, it is necessary to protect and enforce the law.
“The Georgian nation has shed a lot of blood for our state and its survival, it has endured many battles. Today, the struggle for the state lies in implementation of the law and staying at home, ”Salome Zurabishvili said.
